WHY ARE WE CALLED THE PEREGRINE ARMY

Peregrine is derived from the Latin "peregrinus" for "pilgrim."  We are all pilgrims in life, and like all travelers, we sometimes can use the help of a good Samaritan.

St. Peregrine, whose name also means "pilgrim" is the patron saint of healing for those with terminal illnesses, with many miracles credited to his intercession, after his own healing from cancer.

The Peregrine Falcon is the fastest animal on the planet, diving at 240 mph with incredibly fast and adaptable vision.  The Peregrine Falcon is always seeking, always moving, and is found on every continent on earth. It is equally at ease in every habitat, with every race and sustains itself no matter where it finds itself.

Peregrine Army is inspired by these traits in its namesakes and seeks to emulate them in the work of the Army.
